What to do in Spring ?

Spring is the perfect season to explore Alsace. The trees are adorned with white and pink blossoms, birds fill the forests with song once again, and the first seasonal fruits and vegetables bring color and flavor to our plates.

Starting in March, the region is brimming with activities. After the Mardi Gras festivities, the famous almond trees of Mittelwihr bloom in the heart of one of the Haut-Rhin's most beautiful vineyards. Take the opportunity to stroll among the rows of vines and taste a ""Mandelberg"" grand cru—the ""hill of almond trees""—at a local winery.

April, often mild and sunny, is the perfect time to explore the Easter festivities. The market in Colmar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases local crafts. It also marks the start of the season for Alsatian white asparagus, renowned for its delicacy. You'll find them at market stalls and in restaurants, prepared in a thousand different ways. Traditionally, they're paired with a glass of chilled Alsace Muscat.

Outdoor terraces reopen, offering moments of relaxation in towns and villages, far from the summer hustle and bustle. The vineyards, adorned with tender green leaves, invite you to go for a bike ride or an electric bike ride. Alsace has nearly 2,500 km of bike paths, enough to satisfy all nature lovers.

In late April and early May, the first strawberries make their appearance, sweet and delicate.
